Western Australia
Wed 6:00 am WDT
Cloud crossing southwest WA is mainly high jetstream cloud and is not bringing any rain. Patchy cloud in the north in a developing trough is only causing the odd shower. Mostly clear skies elsewhere are turning a cool morning into a mild day.
Issued at on
A trough on the east coast is edging offshore taking most rain in southeast QLD, eastern NSW and VIC with it. Another trough is triggering heavy showers and storms over the eastern and central interior. A weak ridge of high pressure is causing showers to ease in southern SA. The northern jet is dragging moisture south across northern Australia. This jet has an upper trough over the eastern interior, helping to cause widespread rain and storms. The southern jet is south of the country and is therefore having little impact on our weather.
