Gold Salute gets up for Heffernan

Gold Salute stormed to its third straight victory to claim the Winter Championship Final at Flemington on Saturday afternoon.
The five-year-old overcame Benelli in a dash for the line with Famous Roman finishing third.
After the race, trainer Mark Riley paid tribute to owner Kevin Heffernan, who was in hospital with a blood disorder.
