It seems not everyone involved in the Australian horticultural industry is relying on imported labour to pick this season's crops. In far north Queensland a community based project has been placing local people on farms to pick and pack produce for years. Not only has it helped keep the local industries afloat, it has turned around the lives of long-term unemployed Aboriginal people.
