Keith Hutchings has an astonishingly beautiful collection of gramophones which cover the full range from the earliest one he has, made in 1898, to the advent of the radiogram in the 1940s. He has been collecting non-stop for the last 40 or 50 years. > more
Como
Como was the first historic house in Australia to be acquired by the National Trust (Victoria), over 50 years ago. The Armytage family, one of Australia’s wealthiest pioneer families, had resided in Como for nearly one hundred years and passed the property over to the National Trust along with the complete collection of its contents … furnishings, artworks and personal family memorabilia. > more

Dr Joseph Neparrnga Gumbula is an Elder from the Yolngu people of Arnhem land, and has gained a research fellowship for his work. Mr Squiggle
“Here’s Mr Squiggle with lots of fun for everyone” was the signature tune for the children’s ABC television program, Mr Squiggle. Mr Squiggle, a marionette with a pencil for a nose, lived on the moon and created clever upside-down drawings from ’squiggles’ sent in by children from around Australia. > more

SHOW & TELL
These tongs or grippers are made of brass. They measure 24 cm in length. No markings or branding, and they hold no tension. These were found in an auction lot, including other horse products - not sure if this means that this item is also.
